What’s New in Moodle 4.4 - course and webinar recording

This intermediate level course is for anyone who wants to learn about the new features and improvements in Moodle 4.4. You should already be familiar with Moodle in order to benefit from the webinar and course materials. Learners who complete this course can earn a badge as admin and/or as teacher. Enrol in the course.

As part of this course, on Thursday the 2nd May we held a webinar where attendees learned about the new features of Moodle 4.4 for administrators and teachers. If you missed this webinar, we invite you to watch the recording.

Get Ready for MoodleMoot Global 2024 - webinar recording

On the 30th April Moodle HQ hosted a special Moodle Academy presentation that covered what you need to know about attending and presenting at MoodleMoot Global 2024 in Mérida, México. Moodle HQ team members run through a general overview of the event, the program, submitting abstracts, presenting at the Moot, information and tips about Mérida and the conference venue, details on the Moodle Party, and some highlights from last year's event. Call for abstracts for MoodleMoot Global 2024

Registrations and abstracts submission for our annual MoodleMoot Global event in Mérida, México, are now available. We invite you to visit the event website to find out more about the event, register soon to benefit from early bird discounted rates, and submit your abstract for the opportunity to become a speaker. Design Thinking process: Exploring Ideation - 16 May, 10:30 UTC

In this webinar you’ll learn more about the Design Thinking process as we move onto the Ideation step. Zoe Rippon and Federico Astorga from Moodle HQ will explain why this step is pivotal in the process, tips on how to run successful ideation sessions of your own, and have some fun with a hands on activity to get your brain in the mood.

Creating TinyMCE plugins for Moodle

In this intermediate level course for developers, learners will learn about the process of creating TinyMCE editor plugins for Moodle. Learners will build plugins using generated skeleton code and learn how to add buttons to the TinyMCE toolbar, create menu items within your plugin, and configure settings to tailor the plugin to your specific needs. The course includes hands-on coding exercises to create two fully functional TinyMCE plugins. Registration for this course will be available in late May.
