Moodle Qualifications (previously Certifications)

We’re excited to announce that the Moodle Educator Certification (MEC) is transitioning to become the Moodle Educator Qualification (MEQ), with the rebranding set to complete in December 2024! This change brings a fresh, updated certificate while retaining the program's core purpose: Empowering educators with key digital skills. Any MEC you've already earned remains valid and will seamlessly transition to the MEQ.

If you’ve taught with Moodle LMS or Moodle Workplace™, completed a Moodle Academy course, or trained with a Certified Partner, consider qualifying your skills with the Moodle Educator Qualification (previously MEC) program. Updated in 2024 to incorporate AI's impact on education, the program includes refreshed content and assessment types. Our partner translators continue to work on making the program available in multiple languages, so now is a great time to take the Are you ready for the MEQ? quiz and advance as a quality-focused education professional.

Stay tuned for more updates and details, including the exciting launch of the Moodle Administrator Qualification (MAQ) in 2025!
