DigCompEdu

The European Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators (DigCompEdu) is a scientifically sound framework that describes what it means for educators to be digitally competent. DigCompEdu considers digital competences from three standpoints:

  • Educators' professional competences
  • Educators' pedagogic competences
  • Learners' competences.

DigCompEdu constitutes of 22 competences that are organised in six areas. The focus of this framework is to detail how digital technologies can be used to enhance and innovate education and training.

MEC

MEC stands for Moodle Educator Certification and is an advanced certification program for educators, or learning and development professionals, who have experience in teaching or training with Moodle LMS or Moodle Workplace. MEC is based on the widely used and accepted European Framework for the Digital Competence for Educators (DigCompEdu). The MEC is offered by Moodle Certified Partners and Service Providers.
