During this webinar, presented by Thom Rawson from Moodle Academy, you will learn a few advanced techniques and methods for using the Moodle Database Activity. Through templating, CSS, HTML, and simple JavaScript, educators will be able to construct interactive Database Activities to enhance learner engagement and help to increase learner autonomy. In addition, alternate methods of assessing Database Activities will be discussed.

Learn how to develop clear, Intended Learning Outcomes for your courses and programs in this webinar led by Karen Shackleford-Cesare, from University College London (UCL).
Intended Learning Outcomes are short, clear statements that help students understand what they can expect to achieve at various stages throughout their learning journey. They enable course designers to ensure summative assessments test the desired learning has been achieved. Creating Effective Intended Learning Outcomes is an important prerequisite in the design of learning activities and assessments, including within the ABC Learning Design process, which is used to develop short courses for Moodle Academy, as well as many other educational programs worldwide.

In this intermediate level course for educators, you will learn the basic configurations of a Database activity and how to use it for assessment.

In this intermediate level course for educators, you will learn creative ways to use the Moodle Database Activity with learners, including the various field types, templating in HTML and CSS, scripting with JavaScript for simple calculations, and different methods of assessing the Database Activity.

This intermediate level course for developers is designed to help you fully leverage the Moodle Development Kit (MDK) to boost development efficiency, minimise manual tasks, enforce best practices in plugin creation, and establish more consistent Moodle development workflows both individually and collaboratively within a team.

Moodle Qualifications: Celebrating the first MAQ graduates and connecting in Edinburgh

This month marks a significant milestone for the Moodle Qualifications community: we are delighted to announce that our very first candidates have successfully achieved the Moodle Administrator Qualification (MAQ)! These pioneering administrators have validated their advanced Moodle administration expertise using the DigCompLMSAdmin framework, initiating a top group of professionals committed to raising the standards of digital education worldwide.

As we celebrate this achievement, we’re also looking forward to MoodleMoot Global 2025, taking place this September in Edinburgh. The event will feature a dedicated Qualifications poster session - your chance to meet our colleagues in person, get answers to your questions about the MEQ and MAQ, and discover the pathways to your own qualification journey.
