The Poodll Strict Audio Player for Moodle, also called the MultiPlayer Audio Widget, is an audio player that limits the number of times that an audio file can be played back by a student.

Some of the features are:

  • The play count can be set. So teachers can allow a set number of plays by the student.
  • The student can adjust volume, and they can start the player. But they cannot stop it.
  • If the student clicks to another page, or refreshes the page, the audio position will be remembered. And playback will start from there.
  • The play count and audio position are stored with the quiz attempt, so starting a new attempt (or preview) will reset the player.

See a demonstration player here in a Moodle Quiz. It requires the Poodll Filter and Cloud Poodll for TinyMCE.

They require a Poodll subscription (Poodll Media or Poodll Essentials) and are available out of the box on Poodll NET.
